Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and JBD Co. (Jordan Becker, sole proprietorship registered in France, SIRET 105 289 110 00014, 14 avenue du doyen Robert Poplawski, 64000 Pau, France; jdsbecker@gmail.com) for the use of trytechsafe.com, SafePC and SafePhone (the "Service"). By creating an account or subscribing, you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. What TryTechSafe is

TryTechSafe provides practice versions of a computer (SafePC) and a smartphone (SafePhone) that run in your web browser, with step-by-step lessons. Nothing you do inside them is real: no real calls, messages, emails, payments or purchases are made, and your real devices are never changed.

TryTechSafe is an independent training tool. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Apple, Google, Microsoft or any device maker. Real devices and apps can look or behave differently from our practice versions, and the lessons are general guidance, not professional or security advice.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 to buy a subscription. Younger users may use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission, and never under 13.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password private. An account is for one person.
  • One device at a time: your account can be signed in to SafePC or SafePhone on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device signs out the previous one. Your progress is kept.

3. Plans and prices

The free plan includes 5 lessons on each practice device. Paid plans unlock every lesson on SafePC, on SafePhone, or on both, as described on our pricing section at the time you subscribe. Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax that applies is shown before you pay. A plan can only be bought once the practice device it covers is available.

4. Automatic renewal and cancellation

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every month or every year, depending on the plan you chose), and your payment method is charged the plan's price at that time, until you cancel.

  • Cancel anytime, online, in a few clicks: go to My account and choose Manage billing. You can also email us and we will cancel it for you.
  • When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • For yearly plans, we send a reminder by email before each renewal.
  • If we change a price, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you wish.

5. Refunds

  • Payments are generally non-refundable for periods already started, except where the law says otherwise.
  • 14-day guarantee for your first payment: if TryTechSafe isn't for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment on a plan and we will refund it in full.
  • If you are a consumer in the European Union, this 14-day refund also covers your legal right of withdrawal.
  • If a technical problem on our side keeps you from using what you paid for, contact us and we will make it right.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the Service: don't try to break into it or into other people's accounts, don't share or resell your account, don't copy or redistribute our lessons or software, don't upload illegal or harmful content into the practice devices, and don't overload or disrupt the Service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

7. Our content

The software, lessons, texts, images and the TryTechSafe, SafePC and SafePhone names belong to Jordan Becker / JBD Co. or their licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them through the Service while your account is active. Practice content you create stays yours; you let us store it so the Service can work.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but it can be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may improve or change the lessons and features. If we stop offering a paid plan, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

9. Responsibility

The Service is provided for learning. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make or actions you take on your real devices or accounts, or for indirect losses. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law, or our responsibility for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

10. Closing your account

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when possible.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country or state where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.

Please contact us first: most problems are solved quickly by email. If you are a consumer in the European Union and we cannot agree, you can use free consumer mediation; the details of our consumer mediator are available on request at jdsbecker@gmail.com.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you by email or on the website before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
