Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026.
This policy explains what personal information TryTechSafe collects when you use trytechsafe.com, SafePC and SafePhone (together, the "Service"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and we collect as little as we can.
Who we are
The Service is run by JBD Co., Jordan Becker, sole proprietorship (micro-entrepreneur) registered in France, SIRET 105 289 110 00014, 14 avenue du doyen Robert Poplawski, 64000 Pau, France ("we", "us"). We are the data controller. Contact: jdsbecker@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account information: your first name, your email address and your password. We never store your password itself, only a scrambled version (a salted hash) that cannot be turned back into it.
- Sign-in records: which device signed in to your account and when, so that your account works on one device at a time and so we can keep it secure.
- Practice data: what you create inside SafePC and SafePhone (practice files, photos you choose to add, settings, lesson progress). It stays on our servers so you can pick up where you left off.
- Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us. We receive only what we need to manage your plan: a customer reference, the plan you chose, its status and its renewal date.
- Messages you send us, for example by email, and our replies.
- Technical data: like every website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic browser information for a short time to deliver pages and protect the Service against attacks.
We do not collect your real contacts, messages, location or anything from your real phone or computer. Everything inside SafePC and SafePhone is practice content.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To provide the Service (your account, your lessons, your progress, your subscription): to perform our contract with you.
- To keep the Service secure (sign-in limits, one device at a time, fraud prevention): our legitimate interest in protecting you and the Service.
- To keep billing and accounting records: a legal obligation.
- To answer your questions and send important messages about your account or subscription (for example a change of price before it applies). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a few service providers who process data for us, under contracts that protect it:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): website hosting, account database, security.
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and Stripe, Inc.): payments and billing.
- Our own servers in France, operated by JBD Co., host SafePC and SafePhone and your practice data.
Some of these providers are in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your account and practice data: as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete them within 30 days.
- Accounts with no sign-in for 3 years are deleted, after an email warning when possible.
- Billing records: 10 years, as French accounting law requires.
- Security records (sign-in attempts, technical logs): a few weeks at most.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for the Service to work: one that keeps you signed in on trytechsafe.com, and one that keeps you signed in to SafePC or SafePhone. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct, download or delete your personal information, or to stop using it. Email jdsbecker@gmail.com from the address on your account; we answer within 30 days. You can cancel your subscription at any time from My account.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights given by the GDPR, including the right to object and to restrict processing, and you can complain to a data-protection authority (in France, the CNIL, cnil.fr).
If you are a California resident (or live in another U.S. state with a privacy law): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Children
The Service is meant for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), scrambled passwords, sign-in limits and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will tell you by email or on the website before they apply. The date at the top shows the latest version.
